Anastasia Lopoukhine at Home House
As part of our ongoing curatorial collaboration with Home House, we are delighted to announce a new solo presentation of works by Anastasia Lopoukhine, on display until summer 2026. Located on Portman Square in Marylebone, Home House is one of London's most iconic private members' clubs. This collaboration includes a rotating series of exhibitions, as well as acquisitions on behalf of the club's permanent collection.
A display of works in The Bison Bar highlights the work of Anastasia Lopoukhine (b. 1995, France), who works across pen and ink, charcoal drawing, and collage. Her meticulous process gives rise to compositions charged with emotional intensity, often sharpened by a subtle, wry humour. Drawing from memory, she revisits figures from her childhood as a way of exploring the funny, the grotesque, and the quietly strange edges of everyday encounters.
In The Restaurant, a painting from Dan Rees’ famous Artex series is placed into conversation with monumental oil paintings by Aethan Wills, which glorify the overlooked aspects of nature, translating delicate flowers and tree branches into abstract brushstrokes.
A permanent salon hang in the stairway presents a joyous range of works on paper by emerging artists such as Thomas Cameron, Celeste, Anastasia Lopoukhine, Emerson Pullman and Irvin Pascal along with established names including Carla Accardi, Howard Hodgkin, Chantal Joffe, Barbara Kruger and Walter Price. The display celebrates the eclectic community of Home House, with a mix of abstract and figurative pieces.
