Irvin Pascal at Home House
As we continue our curatorial collaboration with Home House, we are delighted to announce a new solo presentation of works by Irvin Pascal, on display until November 2025. Located on Portman Square in Marylebone, Home House is one of London's most iconic private members' clubs. This collaboration includes a rotating series of exhibitions, as well as acquisitions on behalf of the club's permanent collection.
The new display of works in The Bison Bar highlights the work of Irvin Pascal (b. 1987, UK), who is known for his extensive practice that involves painting, drawing, sculpture, performance and sound. His new abstract works explore varying arrangements of circular forms, which overlap to evoke the planets, the human body and the landscape. The artist’s figurative pieces depict scenes from his trips to Los Angeles (USA) and Kingston (Jamaica), capturing fleeting moments in the company of friends and strangers.
In The Restaurant, a painting from Dan Rees’ famous Artex series is placed into conversation with monumental oil paintings by Aethan Wills, which glorify the overlooked aspects of nature, translating delicate flowers and tree branches into abstract brushstrokes.
A new permanent salon hang in the stairway presents a joyous range of works on paper by emerging artists such as Thomas Cameron, Celeste, Anastasia Lopoukhine, Emerson Pullman and Irvin Pascal along with established names including Carla Accardi, Howard Hodgkin, Chantal Joffe, Barbara Kruger and Walter Price. The display celebrates the eclectic community of Home House, with a mix of abstract and figurative pieces.
