Through her paintings, Grace Tobin explores the interdependence between the human experience and the environments we construct for ourselves. Using a distinctive dreamlike colour palette, she reconstructs familiar domestic settings, playing with perspective to present a segmented version of reality. The repeated motifs and imagery in her works allude to the themes of imperfection and repetition in our lives and routines. Her work exhibits the speculative, contemplative moments in which we are formed, informed, and reminded by our surroundings over time.

Tobin graduated from the Royal College of Art, London in 2022 and previously studied fine art in Ohio, USA and Florence, Italy. She has exhibited in the UK, USA and Italy at Soho Revue, London; Studio West Gallery, London; Hashimoto Contemporary, New York; Rhodes Contemporary, London; Canopy Collections, London.
