Irvin Pascal’s abstract compositions draw influence from mathematics and the dynamics of musical arrangement. This work is from a series titled They Go Round and Round in Circles in which the artist explores arrangements of circular forms which linger in imagined spaces. Each spherical form possesses its own unique quality, achieved through varied and meticulous mark marking. There is a voluptuous and playful quality to these compositions, which evoke the cosmos, the human body and the landscapes we inhabit.
