enamel on steel
2019
170 x 122 cm
Working with painting, video, text, sculpture and installation, Bruno Ollé explores individual memory and the relocation of objects. Demonstrative of his preference for found materials, this series of enamel paintings on steel were made from discarded industrial steel sheets usually employed in the fabrication of cars. The artist recycles, cuts, paints and reassembles the sheets to create monochromatic collages. The text painted here is the Spanish definition of the verb rayar, which in English means to draw a line, to cross out, to scratch.
