Irvin Pascal’s figurative works reference the built environment and landscape of Sussex, where he based, as well as scenes from the time he has spent in Los Angeles, US and Kingston, Jamaica. This painting depicts friend of the artist Ade 'Acyde' Odunlami. Acyde is a LA-based Londoner and DJ, who regularly performs at Hollywood parties. In this piece, Pascal has captured Acyde in a vibrant outfit on the roof top of his LA home, overlooking the Hollywood Hills in the distance. The hot LA sun beams down on him, creating an elongated shadow against the wall he sits on.
